Summary

I know what you're thinking. You think that the surveys don't pay well enough for this site to be worth it. That with the minimum payout and survey frequency being what they are, point redemption is impossible or will at the very least take a very, very long time. Not to sound cliched, but that's what they want you to think! I know, I fell for it when I first signed up a couple of years ago.

There are two other factors that have to be considered here. The first is the time it takes to complete a survey. Most surveys are only a couple minutes (if that) to complete. Even if you don't get past the screener you still get your points. Sometimes you have the option of taking an even longer survey after that one for some more points, but those typically take the standard 10-15 minutes for an extra 50 points or so. The second is that once you have established yourself as a loyal member, they start sending you the good stuff. My sister-in-law has been a member for a while and regularly gets 50-200 point surveys and has even been sent cash (not checks, cash) in the mail along with a survey to fill out. Her point balance was over 10,000 last time I checked and she hasn't referred a single person.

They also tend to give out bonus points just because. On your one month membership anniversary they give you 10 points. For downloading the MySurvey Messenger (see below) you get 40 points, plus another 10 for completing a short survey about the downloading experience. I'd also like to point out that their referral bonuses are about 50% higher than most other sites. It's the highest flat rate I've encountered so far.

You really need to be quick on the draw when you get surveys. Email invitations aren't sent out very often, so you need to login to the site regularly or, ideally, download the MySurvey Messenger (see below) to make sure you get as many as possible. Even then, a survey that just popped up 5 minutes ago may be gone by the time you start it.

Notes: Be sure to download the MySurvey Messenger. The first week I was a member I didn't have it and only got 1 survey other than the signup surveys. I downloaded MSM and got 3 over the next 2 days, not counting the MSM download survey.
